1. How to request a refund

Sign in and open Billing, then choose Request a refund. We check your payment straight away and tell you whether it qualifies, and why.

If it qualifies and you confirm, the refund is made at once to the card you paid with. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days. The plan the payment covered ends immediately; your progress, notes and exam history stay on your account.

2. Monthly plans

The first payment of a new monthly subscription is refundable in full within 7 days of that payment. If you started with a free trial, that is the first payment taken after the trial.

Renewals and later months are not refundable, and we don't refund partial months. You can cancel at any time from Billing: nothing more is charged and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

3. Exam pass

An exam pass is one payment for one exam level, valid until 7 days after your exam date. Access starts as soon as you pay, because you ask for that at checkout. You also confirm there that, once access starts, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to online purchases in the EU. So an exam pass is not refundable after purchase.

Instead, the pass comes with a retake promise: if you don't pass, open Billing after your exam date and extend the pass once, free, to your next exam date for the same level.

4. Problems we always put right

If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged the wrong amount, we refund what was charged wrongly, in full. If the service was unavailable or did not work as described, we put it right, which can mean a refund. Tell us through the Help page (topic: Billing) and a person will look at it.

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A dispute freezes the payment for weeks; we can usually fix a billing problem much faster.

5. Currency and your rights

Refunds go back in the currency you paid in. If your bank converted the amount, the refund may differ slightly because of exchange rates and bank fees we don't control.

Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
